Former MOE Chinese Teacher with More Than 20 Years Experience Reveals the Animation Method To Help Students Trigger Creativity and Expand Chinese Vocabulary...Even If They Are Not Chinese

You have already seen your child's composition paper. It starts with

Most children start their composition with this phrase. It's totally fine...until you see them using it even though the pictures in the exam paper show that it's raining.

This is what happens when a child only tries to memorise useful phrases without fully understanding them. The context used is not relevant as they find it hard to apply. What's worse is when they have ideas in their mind, but struggle to write them down or communicate in Chinese.

Eventually, as they lose their grasp in Chinese, they may start disliking it and find it a chore to learn the language.

It doesn't have to be like this! What if you can empower your child to

Love the language

From having a strong dislike for the subject to being excited to begin their daily conversations in Chinese, while building up their confidence in the subject.

Be effectively bilingual

Be well-versed in the Chinese language even if you don't speak Chinese at home or are not Chinese!

Stop giving excuses

Instead, be eager to take out their Chinese assignments and start doing them diligently.

After being a Chinese MOE school teacher for over 20 years, Ms Wang found that the teaching method for Chinese composition makes it difficult for students to form ideas and tell a story. Students are simply not stimulated by the static, black and white pictures that are supposed to guide their thought process.

With that in mind, Ms Wang developed and designed an interactive, revolutionary method to help students master Chinese composition using interesting animation - which is not taught in any schools or tuition centres.

Did you know that 30% of our students, who are non-Chinese, have also benefitted from our method?

"Before primary 4, many Chinese teachers had suffered from teaching me Chinese until Wang Lao Shi came to teach me. It has been 5 years and I have yet to change my teacher as I really feel that my Chinese is improving a lot with her help. Throughout the years of teaching me, I took my PSLE and got an A and my Chinese was even better than my maths. Even my Chinese teacher in school was shocked as I could beat my Chinese friends since I am not a pure Chinese, I am an Indian girl. Wang Lao Shi taught me the sceneries/techniques on how to write a good composition. She would always use the easiest way to teach me."

Sec 2, Jun Yuan Secondary School

Since P4, Wang Lao Shi has been teaching me Mandarin, with her guidance, I got an "A" for my PSLE Chinese. Besides, I am Malay and I do not have anyone at home to teach me Mandarin. Wang Lao Shi told me not to give up and use different skills and methods to allow me to understand Chinese better. When I am I secondary school, I was still achieving my best result

for Chinese.

Thanks to the help Wang Lao Shi gave me.

Revealing the success behind creative writing through animation

Unlock the power of imagination while expanding Chinese vocabulary

What's the biggest struggle for any student writing a composition? A blank mind. Staring hard at the black and white pictures but unable to put pen to paper. But with the help of animation, it transforms the way your child thinks by stimulating his/her imagination through animated characters. It's the same reason behind why children are more engaged when they watch cartoons.

By bringing static images to life, sequence by sequence, it encourages our students to communicate creative ideas and concepts eloquently-ALL in Chinese. In the process, content and structure for the composition naturally build up as they connect the different dots into a compelling storyline.

Formulas for opening and closing

Instead of spending precious time crafting a killer introduction or reusing "                                 ",

our students are provided with a list of powerful phrases (including opening and closing lines) after watching the short animation. This is so that they can become well-versed in the phrases and insert them into their composition in the right context, just like a fool-proof formula.

Who we help

Preschool Students

Studies by Harvard University confirm that preschool years are when the foundations for attitude, thinking, and learning, among others, are laid down. Our programme optimises chinese language learning during this golden age through activities that stimulate your child's senses and brain development. This way, their strong command in chinese will stay with them through life.

Lower primary Students

Our students in lower primary expand their Chinese vocabulary by at least 800 words in 2 years, giving them the right foundation and an unfair advantage in school. Your child will realise that Chinese is not a difficult language to pick up easily recognise chinese characters without relying on Hanyu Pinyin (pronunciation of Chinese using English Alphabet).

Upper Primary Students

If learning Lower Primary Chinese is a walk in the park, then mastering Upper Primary Chinese will be a climb up the mountain. As your child progresses from Primary 4 to Primary 5 / 6, you may have seen a drastic drop in the Chinese exam grades because of the steep learning curve. With the school and national exams round the corner, it is time for your child to seek the right help to do well for the PSLE.

We would like to extend our sincere appreciation to Ms Zheng for making our son’s experience in learning Chinese a fun and enjoyable one. We are impressed by his progress and ability to read within a short span of 11 months - he enrolled at age 4 and is now 5 plus. The professionalism and dedication of his teachers is indeed worthy of high praise as we are non Chinese speaking parents.

Proud parents of JC Gabriel

Chinese matters more than ever before.

You probably already know it is one of the most widely spoken languages (on earth and on the internet). This is why even many non-chinese are taking up Chinese lessons with us. If your child is not proficient in the language already, he/she will either have to master it now or lose in the long run.

If your child has been working on practice papers mindlessly or attending tuition programmes with little to no improvement to show, perhaps it's time to try something else. At the very least, he/she should be sitting in for the Diagnostic Consultation where you will discover your child's 'problematic' spots and what your child must do to impress the PSLE markers so as to be placed in a higher band.
